Guinea-Bissau Education

Education in Guinea-Bissau is compulsory for students aged 7 to 13. Pre-school education is taken at optional and primary levels for 3 to 6-year-old children and education is divided into 5 categories. The faculties of Economics, Sociology, Modern Languages ​​and Journalism, Education, Law, Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Engineering, and Agriculture are offered at Amilcar Cabral University in Guinea-Bissau. Each faculty has to undergo three years of training before getting a degree and then get a degree. After five years of study, law students have to earn their bachelor’s degree.
